About
I’m a cinematography and marine biology and student at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, currently working as photos editor for Ka Leo, the university’s long-standing newspaper. My passion for the ocean and photography began early—I grew up keeping aquariums and started taking photos as a kid. By high school, I was seriously pursuing photography, with the long-term goal of capturing marine life in its natural habitat.
Along the way, I found a niche in live music photography. Over the past year, I’ve photographed performances in Seattle at venues and festivals including THING, The Neptune Theatre, Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley, The Black Lodge, and Zootunes at Woodland Park Zoo. These experiences have allowed me to connect with artists, managers, and venues while honing my craft in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Music has always been a passion, something I shared with my dad through classic rock and the Seattle grunge scene, and later as a guitarist myself. Now, I channel that energy into visual storytelling, capturing the raw emotion and intensity of live performance.
